From now on, I'm pretty sure Sears will be locking all their doors when they see us pull into the parking lot. Cookie wasn't supposed to get pics taken by himself, but by the time he was supposed to join Ama's photo shoot, she was DONE. I mean, DONE. And he was very into it, so....change of plans. okay. I will officially take what I can get.

Talent Show Footage

So today was Cook's school talent show. He wanted to play the harmonica. He doesn't really play the harmonica. Well, he's self-taught, let's put it that way.

But he pulled it off. He had a new haircut with highlights for the occasion, but that's another story for another time...

Email from a Friend

Just received this email from my neighbor Laura and thought I'd share it - I believe she witnessed a runaway attempt by Ama, which are becoming more and more frequent. She's a fast little thing. Please don't show this to social services.

"Ben and I saw Cookie riding bike yesterday :) We were out for a walk when all of a sudden we hear someone behind us holler, "Lost baby coming through!". HAHA! Then whiz... there went Cookie. Mighty good parenting skills you've got there."

7th Birthday

Last week was Cookie's 7th birthday - he got a bmx bike with no kick stand and a hand brake instead of the pedal-backwards brake. There have been a few wipeouts, one involving a tree, another involving a fire hydrant. You should see his shins. In the background of this photo, you can see Ama running away...
