Running Over Everybody

This video may or may not be a reflection of the chess skills that I am imparting to my children.

We've been dealing with this stupid flu that everyone's been getting. Cookie had a fever for a week, and as soon as he got over it, Ama got sick. She projectile vomited intermittently all day yesterday, and today she has been alternating between vomit and diarrhea and fever. Now her hair is crunchy and she has that distinctive vomit diarrhea combo smell.

At dinnertime, Cookie rescued a taco dorado that fell into the crack between the stove and the wall, and then he adopted it as his pet. He colored it red and named it TACO. He wants to keep it forever.

Cookie and I played a game of thing-a-ma-bots and then a game of go fish; all the while Ama sat semi-comatose on the couch peeling the paper off of crayons - for nearly an hour. Then Cook got out the chess set, and that brings us up to the present moment.

Now Cookie's pet taco is holding an orange crayon sword via a hairtie, and Ama has taken her shirt off. There is no moral to this story.

It was a beautiful spring day and the kids played in the backyard for the first time in months.
I took this video with our weird little digital camera, so it doesn't have any sound, but it's kind of cool like that - it reminds me of an old super-8.

Hello I'm Maka

Ama puts on glasses to transform herself into grandpa or grandma!?? She used to say "Maka Maka house" to mean "grandma and grandpa's house" so there's no way to tell exactly who she was talking about...cute though:)
