Cook's 12th Birthday (4-13)

For his birthday this year, Cook invited 4 boys (Malcolm, Ben, Ethan, and Beck) and his girlfriend (!!!) Ellanor over for a party. They had pizza and then we took a field trip to Rusty Quarters, a new cool vintage arcade we just discovered on Lake Street. Each kid got a roll of quarters.

Then we came back to the house for some slightly more modern video games, archery in the backyard, and a movie night on the big screen in the basement. They bailed halfway through a Batman movie and ended up watching Spaceballs!!??

Then three of the boys spent the night, and ended up staying up until around 5 am. They all crashed ON COOK'S BED for some weird reason. When I came downstairs to shush them at 3:00am, I found them all drinking freshly-opened sodas and playing an intense game of Apples to Apples. Awesome!!

Ama (age 6) tries on my old dance costumes! (4-13)

Mom and Dad sent a big box full of stuff that included a whole bunch of old dance costumes, ballet shoes, etc. and Ama tried it all on and did a fashion show. It pretty much all fit her perfectly and looked adorable! Now she uses this stuff to play dress up with her friends, which is perfect!
