Hamsters!

The kids have been begging me for a pet and I've been absolutely solid on the answer. Which is no. So we compromised (sort of), and the kids spent their valentines money from grandma and grandpa on zhu zhu pets hamsters. There is truly no end to the number of hamster accessories you can buy for these things...I hope we haven't started something. I'm happy, though, because the kids have found pets that don't eat or poop. Yay!

Cook's All-City Orchestra Concert

Here are Cook and Aria Wanek before the all-city orchestra concert at the end of their 4th grade year. I had to miss it because I was out of town, so Grandma and Grandpa got Cook to his rehearsal and to the concert.

What beautiful, fancy outfits! I'm pretty sure this is the first time Cook has ever worn a tie, and he was really excited about the idea, though you can't tell from these pictures. I wonder why he looks so grumpy??
