Cook: "Mom, you don't have enough money do you?"
Me: "No I don't."
Cook: "Well, you should get a whole bunch. How can you get a whole bunch?"
Ama (rolling her eyes at him): "Uh. You just go to the bank like twenty times."

Mother's Day 2011

Spencer took us to the greenhouse in Bonnie for mother's day. It has sort of turned into a tradition. It was really fun! Ama and Cook pretended we were in a Mexican taxi. Grandpa and grandma bought me a rubber plant that the kids picked out. The flowers were all full of big fat fuzzy bumblebees, which Cook took like 100 pictures of with my camera.

Ama's 5th Bday

Ama wanted her birthday party at Grandpa and Grandma's house, and they totally hosted the party and had a big barbecue for everyone! It was so wonderful and the weather was amazing.

Ama wanted a round, pink cake. She was so happy all day, and just absolutely beamed with lovely birthday girl light!

I feel like I have other videos of Ama singing this song but I'm not sure if I've posted any other versions. It's one of her favorites, and her signature is to add "and I cried" on to the end. She just turned five years old.

Cook's 10th Birthday

We had a party at Grandpa and Grandma's house on Cook's actual birthday (which was after the party he had for his friends). Grandpa and Grandma gave him a super awesome new bike (with gears!!), which they had to give him in the garage because look at the weather! It sucked! It was freezing and snowy out, and we all bundled up to run out and hit down the pinata. This is not the first year we've had to do the pinata in the snow...


Cook had his 10th birthday party at the Bismarck Gymnastics Club. He invited 10 friends (including Ama) and they ran around and got crazy and sweaty for two hours. They had pizza and cake and he got a bunch of cool presents including books, lego sets, a nerf gun, and a hexbug.
