Rowan and Kiren (5-13)

Rowan got to have a nice visit with her cousin Kiren in May - the weather was amazing and they got to run around and play together in Grandpa and Grandma Smith's backyard while the grownups drank coffee on the deck. The girls also went on a bike ride and Kiren "read" to Rowan along the way!

Ama's 7th Birthday (5-13)

Ama's birthday balloon was a giant 7, and she invited a few friends over for a party. She really wanted to play "pin the tail on the pony" so Cook and I made her a big Rainbow Dash poster and a bunch of rainbow tails for the kids to pin on it!

Ama's cake had a pink and purple and blue owl on it...there's Rowan sticking her finger in it! The highlight presents this year were a Barbie Dreamhouse mansion from Gpa and Gma, and a beautiful doll from Cook that Ama named Charlotte.

Ama's Hula Hoop Flowers (4-13)

Amaranth had her big hula hoop showcase after school today! The performance was the culmination of an after school program she has been in ALL YEAR (1st grade). Her teacher was Hooperina, and Ama got to perform with her best friend Freya to a Daft Punk song (her favorite band!), so it was a very special day. We gave her this bouquet of flowers after the show, which made her day even better, and all of her hula hoop friends wished they had gotten flowers, too. Hooperina told us after the performance what an amazing, special person she thinks Ama is, but we already knew that!
